The Skeptics Guide to qigong and acudetox
How This Session Rewires Your Nervous System For Safety
When we experience severe trauma, chronic stress, or workplace burnout, our survival brain gets locked into a continuous loop of hypervigilance, chronic fatigue, brain fog, and maladaptive coping among other things. You cannot simply think your way out of a survival state—you have to communicate safety directly to the physical body.
These specialized, integrated sessions use a dual-layer neurological approach to actively interrupt the stress response:
1. Vestibular & Vagus Nerve Training (Qigong)
Slow, deliberate, and mindful movements do not just stretch the muscles—they stimulate your vestibular system (balance centers and sensory input) and brainstem.
The Biology: By shifting your head and eyes through precise, rhythmic space, you activate a bottom-up neurological pathway strengthening balance, gaze, and stability.
The Result: This sends an immediate, clear signal through your vagus nerve back to the brain, stating: You are anchored. You are grounded. You are safe in this room right now. This process builds vagal tone, allowing your heart rate and respiration to drop naturally out of fight-or-flight mode.
2. Deep Autonomic Reset (Acudetox/AcuWellness Acupuncture)
While Qigong actively trains the nervous system through motion, Acudetox provides an immediate, passive sanctuary for your brain to process and discharge stored adrenaline.
The Biology: Placing specific, sterile needles (seeds for acupressure also available) gently into five precise microsystem points on the ear directly stimulates the cranial nerves connected to your central nervous system triggering a rest and digest state.
The Result: This induces a profound shift into the parasympathetic state (rest and digest). It alleviates physical anxiety, quietens mental chatter, and helps clear the overwhelming weight of environmental and emotional trauma.
Results
Together, they form a comprehensive protocol. Qigong actively challenges and resets your perception of space, while Acudetox provides the deep neurological rest needed to store that feeling of safety.
The most common experience is deep relaxation, improved sleep, and sense of calm. Note that every person’s experience is unique and results may vary. What do you have to lose? Register today!
